Join the Equality Chamber Foundation in empowering LGBTQ small businesses: Seize your seat on one of three vital committees with the Foundation!

We're seeking passionate individuals to join our committees that support LGBTQ small businesses in Washington, DC, and the surrounding Maryland and Virginia metropolitan regions. From engaging initiatives to grant opportunities, these roles will shape support for the Foundation’s brand awareness and amplification, provide resources to LGBTQ small businesses, curate strong partnerships, and change the future of our workplace through inclusion and equity. COMMITTEES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Micro-Grant Committee: responsible for reviewing applications, evaluating proposals against set criteria, making funding decisions, monitoring grantee progress, setting grant-making policies, promoting grant programs, ensuring ethical standards, and staying informed about best practices in philanthropy.
  • Communications Committee: responsible for creating and implementing communication strategies, producing content across various platforms, managing media relations, maintaining brand consistency, facilitating internal communication, handling crises, evaluating communication effectiveness, and staying updated on communication trends. Ensures precise, cohesive messaging that supports the organization's mission and engages stakeholders effectively.
  • Public Engagement Committee: responsible for developing strategies to enhance community visibility and interaction, organizing events, maintaining relationships with stakeholders, managing public perception, collecting feedback, advocating for organizational goals, educating the public, evaluating engagement efforts, and collaborating with other teams. Fostering community connections, promoting the organization's mission, and continuously improving engagement strategies.
