Spotlight Speaker Antonio Guernica (he/him) Director of Business Development, DC Health Link  will present A Competitive Advantage.

ABOUT OUR SPOTLIGHT SPEAKER

As a member of the DC Health Benefit Exchange Authority (DCHBX) Team, Antonio Guernica (he/him) is responsible for working closely with the diverse communities in the District of Columbia -- African American, Latinos, Asian and Pacific Islanders, LGBTQ+ and women-owned small businesses and non-profits as well as with other underserved communities.  

A nationally recognized marketing, sales and media veteran, Guernica built a strong track record of successfully leading media start-ups, new business and marketing initiatives. Today, Guernica leads DCHBX’s efforts to expand and retain small business coverage through DC Health Link, increase coverage rates among communities of color and focus on retention of individual marketplace customers. Guernica also serves as the DCHBX spokesperson for Spanish media. 

Guernica has consulted for various major Hispanic advertising agencies and wrote the landmark book Reaching the Hispanic Market Effectively – The Media, The Market, The Methods. 

Guernica received Entrepreneur of the Year Award from the Greater Washington Hispanic Chamber of Commerce and was named by Hispanic Business magazine one of its “Top 100 Influentials” nationally.

Equality Chamber of Commerce and the Equality Chamber Foundation, in collaboration with TraxMethod, strive to serve its members and the business community by providing educational and informational seminars. Our goal is to gather experts in our community to discuss topics critical to small businesses and organizations. 

We believe it is our responsibility to offer the community an opportunity to hear from experts so that they can make decisions based on the facts and facilitate factually-based discussions. We want to be a conduit through which the community can obtain information, drive discussions, and make their own decisions.
