Monday, April 7, 2025 (10:00 AM - 12:00 PM) (EDT)
Description
Navigating Workplace DEI in a Changing Legal Landscape
As evolving federal guidance and increased public scrutiny create new challenges for workplace DEI efforts, this training equips organizations with the tools to navigate the current legal and cultural landscape.
Participants will learn how to reaffirm their commitment to inclusion while aligning with federal and state-level nondiscrimination laws—particularly those in the DMV region that protect gender identity and expression.
The session will cover potential risks of maintaining or neglecting DEI initiatives, including legal exposure, reputational harm, and employee disengagement.
Attendees will explore best practices for:
- Updating workplace policies
- Developing gender transition and pronoun guidelines
- Implementing inclusive health benefits
The training also emphasizes the importance of a clear communication strategy and legal review process to ensure policies are both values-driven and legally sound.
